The WHO (World Health Organisation) has labelled the pandemic an ‘Infodemic’ due to the spread of misinformation in concern to the virus — WhatsApp chatbot of the Telangana Govt. has acted as an authentic and verified source of information.
With over 3lakh registered users, Digital Media Wing, ITE&C Dept., Government of Telangana has estimated the information disseminated has impacted approximately 10 additional people from each of the registered user.
